Over the next several weekends, we will be doing some trail maintenance in Forest Hill Park.

The first project is rerouting a climb on the east side of the park that got washed our during one of the recent storms. The trail had run on an old road bed and due to driange issues, the middle of the trail now has a deep gully in it. We will be moving the trail off of the old road bed and hand-building the re-route along the creek. The City Trail Care Crew will clear the vegetation along the re-route during the week with the sickle bar, but there is a lot of poison ivy around so please wear long pants, long sleeves and gloves. If you are highly allergic, this may not be the best project for you. Hopefully we can knock this project out quickly and move onto the next projects which include another small reroute in Forest Hill and fixing a mud puddle on Buttermilk.
