Our Story Begins Here

❊ Our Mission

To enhance trail experiences through people, tools, and advocacy.

We believe great trails don’t just happen. They’re made, maintained and defended by people who care — with the right gear, and the voice to keep access alive.

We’re a crew of trail-enthusiasts: mountain bikers, runners, hikers, nature-lovers — anyone who finds peace (or adrenaline) on Richmond’s trails.

Our focus? Building and maintaining trails around RVA, and making sure they stay open for everyone. Your dog. Your kid. Your favorite wheelie. Your morning walk.

❊ What We Believe

More Miles
=
More Smiles

We take our trails seriously around here. Which is why we try to be good stewards of what we have to work with.

Ecologically Sound

We use smart methods to keep silt and runoff out of our waterways.

Built to Last

Trails that hold up over time and don’t need endless repairs.

User-First

We design with all visitors in mind: bikers, runners, walkers, families. Great trails serve everyone.

Leadership & Advocacy

We collaborate with land managers, neighborhood groups, parks officials and other outdoor lovers to make sure Richmond’s trails stay accessible and sustainable.

Access & Development

Every year, our volunteer crew dedicates 1,000+ hours maintaining trails across the region — clearing brush, repairing erosion, building new sections. And yes: we’re developing new trails too.

Richmond community and responsible riding

Responsible Riding

We lean on the rules of the trail championed by International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) — like respecting closures in wet weather and sharing the trail with hikers, runners and horseback riders.
