The plan for Saturday’s (October 12th) trail work is to start on the muddy section on Buttermilk between 22nd St. and Reedy Creek. We will meet at the 22nd St. parking lot at 9am and walk west from there to the work site.
There is a lot of pruning/clearing/vines/hauling etc. of brush that is below the trail that needs to be removed to help with the drainage problem there. We will be armoring the whole section as well. The City Trail Care Crew plans will start staging rock there this week. If we have enough folks we should be able to complete all the clearing and get started on the armoring.
This is estimated to be a three week project, so if you can’t come out this week, there will be opportunities to help on the 19th and 26th as well.
