As some of you know Craig Dodson, Richmond Cycling Corps, had a very successful first season working with the Armstrong High School Mountain bike team. In order to continue with the program he is going to need to join the new NICA High School Mountain Bike League this fall. This is proving to be a very expensive endeavor– more so than anticipated due to required staffing qualifications/certifications. To help with the cost of this program, Richmond Cycling Corps has a benefit film screening of Singletrack High, a film about NorCal High School Cycling League, this Saturday, May 31st at 7:30pm. Weather permitting, it will be an outdoor screening behind Richmond Bicycle Studio, 1717 Summit Ave. If the weather doesn’t co-operate it will be moved inside the studio. Tickets are $7. Proceeds go to RCC’s Armstrong High School Cycling Team as it participates in NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association). If you can’t make the movie you can still donate on the eventbrite registration site.
