Join us as we celebrate National Public Lands Day on September 24th. rvaMORE is teaming up with REI to raise 600 feet of trail tread on the Ancarrow’s East Trail to help improve drainage issues and allow the trails to be open more days throughout the year. An REI Grant funded the purchase of the materials that we’ll be using to build up the trail.
Meet us at Ancarrow’s Landing parking lot – 1400 Brander St. at 9am on Saturday, September 24th.
All volunteers will get a free REI Steward t-shirt while supplies last. REI will also be grilling up some food for lunch and raffling off some great prizes.
All volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather, wear closed toe shoes, bring a reusable water bottle, and bring work or gardening gloves.
NEEF National Public Lands Day (NPLD)is the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands including parks, trails, and green spaces.
