This Saturday, January 10th, we’re building new trail. Buttermilk East will run from the 22nd Street tower east under the Lee Bridge making for a safe off-road connection to the flood wall.
Speaking of the flood wall, the work on the Manchester Bridge should be wrapping up in late February. Work on the Tyler Potterfield Dam Walk, connecting Brown’s Island and the floor wall began in December with an anticipated opening of September 2015. This will result in closures around the flood wall and Manchester climbing wall during the construction.
We’ll be meeting for trail work at the top of the 22nd tower on Saturday at 9am. Street parking is available on 20th, 21st and 22nd Streets near Riverside Drive. The corridor is mostly cleared, so we’ll be able to jump right in and start bench cutting new trail. Come on out and help, lots of hands will make quick work of it.
